There are a number of Christian Rap groups from Texas, PID(Preachas) being the most well known... XL & DBD might be more like Rage against the Machine, Bride is more metal but might appeal to him for the southern rock/metal sound he might enjoy... but Kid Rock is more laid back then a lot of Christian (and secular!) rap rock bands
